Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Warranty?

Our superior paint protection films are backed by a 10-year warranty, ensuring you're shielded against yellowing, delamination, cracking, peeling, bubbling, and beyond.

What brand of PPF do you use?

At Derand, we proudly use Xpel for our paint protection films, ensuring top-tier quality and unmatched vehicle protection. Drive with peace of mind!

How long does PPF last?

Our Xpel paint protection films come with a robust 10-year lifespan, providing you with a decade of unwavering protection and preserving your vehicle's pristine appearance. Drive on with confidence!

How long does it take to install paint protection film?

Basic Kit: 1 - 2 Days

Deluxe Kit: 2 to 3 Days

Premium Kit: 3 to 4 Days

Full Vehicle: 5 to 7 Days

Can I run PPF through an automatic car wash?

Yes, but please wait at least 48 hours after installation to allow the film to dry completely.

How deep of a scratch can paint protection film protect?

Imagine the clear coat as your car's self-healing armor, only 13 microns thick. But, remember, if it's ever broken, the magic won't work. Stay protected!

Can I have PPF installed on top of my ceramic coating?

We'd advise against this, as it could lead to weak bonding on the painted surfaces. It's best to opt for professional removal of the ceramic coating. You can install PPF infused with ceramic coating to give you the same effect.

Can PPF be waxed?

While you can wax the film, be sure the product you are using doesn’t contain Naphtha or Kerosene in concentrations over 5%, and avoid waxes that contain dyes.
